Crimson Echoes cesa su desarrollo

Noticia triste para todos los aficionados al Rom Hack. Square Enix ha pedido, mediante una carta con amenaza de recursos legales a los desarrolladores de Crimson Echoes, un rom hack de Chrono Trigger que cesen el desarrollo de este y otros proyectos.

Según Zeality, autor entre otros de Crimson Echoes, cuenta el foro de Chrono Compendium que el pasado 8 de Mayo recibió una carta de Square Enix para que parara el desarrollo de todos los proyectos que estaban realizando debido a que estaban trabajando con material con derechos de autor de la propia compañía.

Para quien no conozcáis el proyecto de Crimson Echoes es uno de los rom hacks más ambiciosos de la escena por la buena elaboración que se estaba llevando a cabo ya que el juego era una pieza más de la historia del juego original Chrono Trigger. Además de Crimson Echoes han quedado suspendidos otros proyectos como:
